What is the Master Advanced Quantum Physics about?

The master program Advanced Quantum Physics is taught completely in englisch language. The topics are centered around quantum physics which is one of the research focuses of the department of Physics at TU Kaiserlautern. The master program is suitable as well for theoretical as for experimental physicists.

How long does the program take?

In total it takes two years of classes to conclude the Master programm, including the masters thesis which takes about one semester.

Can anyone apply for the master program?

Everyone with an Eurpopean Bachelor or an equivalent degree in Physics. For details, please ask eitherusor theInternatinal Office.There is an online application form on thedepartments AQP program homepage.

What level of English do I need?

If your Bachelors language was Englisch your level should be high enough. If not you have to show a centificate with level B1 or higher.

Are there special intruduction events?

Yes there are. The Fachschaft offers a wide range ofintroduction events. Most of them are for all new students arriving at the physics department of RPTU in Kaiserslautern, but thereare some specialized events for you to introduce you into your study plan and courses. This will be seperatly prepared and you will be informed about them after getting accepted in the study program.

The offered courses are fonud atwww.kis.uni-kl.deat Physik. You can chose from a wide range of offered courses. You can contact us, if you have doubts which courses to choose. We know the exam regulations and can advise you possible combinations.

Where do I get material for the courses?

Usually the lecturers publish it on their individual websites or at theOpenOlat-Portal.
