What is the Master of Advanced Quantum Physics about?
The master's program Advanced Quantum Physics is taught entirely in English language. The topics are centered around quantum physics, one of the research focuses of the Department of Physics at TU Kaiserslautern. The master's program is suitable for both theoretical and experimental physicists.
How long does the program take?
It takes two years of classes to conclude the Master's program, including the master's thesis, which takes about one semester.
Can anyone apply for the master's program?
Everyone with a European Bachelor or an equivalent degree in Physics. For details, please ask eitherusor theInternational Office.An online application form is on thedepartment's AQP program homepage.
What level of English do I need?
If your Bachelors language was English, your level should be high enough. If you still need to, you must show a certificate with level B1 or higher.
Are there special introductory events?
Yes, there are. The Fachschaft offers a wide range ofintroduction events. Most of them are for all new students arriving at the physics department of RPTU in Kaiserslautern, but there are some specialized events for you to introduce you into your study plan and courses. This will be separately prepared and you will be informed about them after getting accepted in the study program.
Where do I find my courses?
The offered courses are fonud atwww.kis.uni-kl.deat Physik. You can chose from a wide range of offered courses. You can contact us, if you have doubts which courses to choose. We know the exam regulations and can advise you possible combinations.
Where do I get material for the courses?
Usually the lecturers publish it on their individual websites or at theOpenOlat-Portal.
