What is the Master of Advanced Quantum Physics about?

The master's program Advanced Quantum Physics is entirely taught in English. The topics are centered around quantum physics, one of the research focuses of the Department of Physics at RPTU. The master's program is suitable for both theoretical and experimental physicists.

How long does the program take?

The Master's Semesters are two years of classes, including the master's thesis.

Can anyone apply for the master's program?

Everyone with a European Bachelor's or an equivalent degree in Physics can apply. For details, please ask either us or the International Office.An online application form is on the department's AQP program homepage.

What level of English do I need?

Your level should be high enough if your Bachelor's language is English. If you still need to, you must show a certificate with level B1 or higher.

Are there special introduction events?

Yes, there are. The Fachschaft offers a wide range of introduction events. Most of them are for all new students arriving at the physics department of RPTU in Kaiserslautern, but there are some specialized events to introduce you to your study plan and courses.

Where do I find my courses?

The courses offered are found at www.kis.uni-kl.de inPhysik. You can choose from a wide range of offered courses. Feel free to reach out to us if you need clarification on which courses to select. We know the exam regulations and can advise you on possible combinations.

Where do I get the material for the courses?

Usually, the lecturers publish it on their individual websites.
